Colmena Collective is a radical consulting cooperative for change-makers with systemically marginalized identities across the U.S. 

Glou Studio led Colmena through a regenerative life cycle during its initial start-up phase. We created participatory and experiential learning spaces for co-owners to create the business’s membership model, operating structure, culture, and community agreements. Glou Studio also facilitated the collective design and adaptation of decision-making frameworks, shared leadership models, and democratic governance structures to nurture and sustain its growth. 

In order to align and deepen the board’s shared vision and sense of purpose, Glou Studio designed and facilitated intentional spaces for generative dialogue, reflection and unlearning to lay the foundations for the transformation of Colmena’s business model, operating agreement, decision-making frameworks, culture and communication, and personal and collective leadership. 

We facilitated an awareness-based planning process in sync with natural cycles and earth-based wisdom to restore healthy relationships and practices in the Colmena ecosystem, allowing for release of dynamics and practices that no longer serve the collective and for the co-design of new conditions, structures and systems conducive to purpose alignment and authentic growth.
